I hope that this newsletter find you well and happy. What has happened in your life recently? Have you become a proud new grandparent? Recently gotten married? Retired? Please tell us about yourself so we can include your life changing events in our next newsletter. It had been a long hot Summer It is hard to believe that Autumn is here, with the leaves falling from trees. It's a terrific time to turn over a new leaf (no pun intended) Another season, another year.... Since my creative force (and my passion for writing) is at its peak in this last few months, I have been busy writing poems. I am blessed that I live in the country and am inspired daily by the sights of the sunrises, sunsets, the moon, the birds, the butterflies, the mountain ranges as well as vast land in the valley. In my home office, from my window I can see this scenery everyday and when I go outside, I see my own garden and my neighbors' ... Hence I am surrounded with the most beautiful mother nature's work of art. I just let it fill my spirit and let it flow from my heart to share for all to see.. As for the ranch... I would welcome your visit anytime.. Jan 2001 As the year 2000 and the new century arrives without any glitch. With the wonder of technology, we watched as people around the world celebrated this exciting occasion. IT IS truely amazing and united event that bind us together with magical shows from around the world ... OUR world is getting smaller and one of the reason that we are becoming the TRUE GLORBAL citizens.
Boomers International Web site features variety of information, links and articles relating to boomers issues and concerns. We want to be a place where "A Team of people from around the world united in community around a common purpose. We want to form worldwide partnerships, consortiums and liaisons based on our desire to make a difference.Instead of asking, "What's the problem?" We will find the solutions. We willl ask, "What can we do to make the world a better place?".*
Our web site is a community that is a place for us to connect, embrace each other. The time is now. We will ensure that boomers from all walks of life are represented. This is a place where we can have our voices heard. We will concentrate on boomers issues, our generation, human rights, human dignity, education, and economic justice. Together, we will find a way to explore alternative scenarios and take actions for the future of the planet and the next generation.*
We are pleased to say that we are working deligently so that THIS will be a place where Boomers from all over the world can meet, connect, network, make a difference, and have fun as well.
Please come back and check on our site again soon and enter our FREE CONTEST.

Summer is fun time and The Boys of Summer are keeping us glued to the tube for Maris Chase... Great for Baseball. In July, we had our family reunions and our niece's twins high school graduation, in Grant Pass, Oregon. End of July, and early in August, we were in Peoria, Illinois for T.J.'s baseball games. (Peoria's Chief is the St. Louis Cardinal's A team). We also had a very lovely visit in St. Louis although we missed The Cardinals, they were out of town. Yes, we went up on the ARCH! Beautiful up there. After we got back, in August, we also made several trips to Palm Spring and Southern California to visit with families and friends. On one of our weekend trips, we flew on a tiny little 4 seaters airplane... I DID not want to go on that plane but, we did and Wow..what an experience! Maier and friends, Hello Friends: For our most current edition of letter from the editor. I would like to quote my friend, Derek Gore aka RV_Roadie, who is one of my best friend from our Boomers International Club at Yahoo: You see, I could not have said it any better than RV - Thanks Derek! Dec 23 1998 5:49PM EST What a fun way to meet other Boomers! And chat can be a riot! Was last night . . . As a group we Boomers have laughed, and cried together through, as Dickens says " . . the best of times, and the worst of times". No other generation had "The Movement", and the threat of nuclear annihilation hanging over them for most of their lives. We saw and loved the man who asked "not what your country can do for you . . ", and heard the broadcast that "the president has been shot". We had a crisis of conscience in Vietnam that divided us as those that went tried to rationalize the terrible losses they experienced as the national will, and had to read Mcnamara's apology for knowing it was wrong, and not only witholding it from us, but sent more of us to do our duty. Which was proudly done, and wasted. We invented rock and the high divorce rate. We watched the moon become real territory, and mourned the four dead in Ohio. From the Chicago seven to Woodstock, we were vocal and wanted a better world for our kids. Somtimes more than vocal as we saw the weathermen accept violence in the name of peace. And the Panthers make a stand. We marched and made a stand for all of our rights, as we went off to the peace corps. We accepted the Cleaver family as the standard, while wondering if we were adopted into the dysfunctional families we found ourselves in. Then we became the over 30 crowd and some still worked, albeit within the system, to make it happen. Some just got absorbed. We lost more friends to the drugs we thought were the way to a new conciousness, and became the generation to create the herbal alternative medicine approach to holistic healing. And we invented the computer. And as leaders, reinvented the military. Friends, we have a common bond that few generations ever even aspire to. We took some risks, and asked . . .why, but more importantly, why not? We were Hoods, Rah's, Geeks, Hippies, Yippies, Deadheads, soldiers, marchers, rednecks and elitists. In other words we made ourselves heard. What a legacy! And you had to be there. But the best part? We're still here. So in the spirit of our shared histories, trials, tribulation, and triumphs . . . . I wish you peace, love, and Happiness this holiday season. Boomers rule! Huah! RV

WINTER SOLSTICS
November, 1997 Hi there friends! Jeri is back from Asia and recovering from another doze of fun trip, timezone changes and the cultural shock. The later can happen to anyone and since Jeri have not travel outside of the USA for over two years, it happened to her again. Well another lessons learned. Bangkok, Thailand is very BIG and remain to be pretty amazing as usual. East meet West, Old traditions and new modern ways blended and co-exist side by side. We released our Online and E-Newsletter in September and October. November and December issues are on the way. It is made available by efforts of a group of Boomers On the Move who care and are willing to share their thoughts and informations. It is very well-received and the subscribers list is growing. We also created a NEW BOOMers Business Ring so we can support each others. (Boomer Owned, Operated and Managed - thanks to Wendy Thompson who coiled this term) It is the time during this season to give Thanks and make time to celebrate traditional holidays with families and friends. (Hanukah, Christmas, New Year etc.) Happy Holidays Season to all our Boomer friends. Cheers and Happiness, Jieranai T. Maier, Executive Director, And Boomers Web Site Staff
MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT DREAM
August, 1997. Hello Friends: Well college baseball season for 1997 is over for us finally. Quick there's light at the end of the tunnel!! Our youngest son, Taber, got drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals!!! The kid realized his childhood dream and is now working hard towards his new career. His professional baseball season just begins and our baseball seasons continue, we hope for a long time :) We spent 10 days in Augusta, New Jersey and watched some of New Jersey Cardinals (Minor League Class A) games. They were in first place in NY Penn league, until we got there.. Oh well.. all is not lost they are in 2nd place now. Met nice folks out there in New Jersey! Over 4500 average fans attend each of the Cards home games. Augusta, New Jersey is forever green and beautiful with trees, corn fields, barnyard scenes and lakes. We saw lots of, and went to some authentic Diners there. What fun experience for us Californians! Each townships that we drove through showed signs that these places contained history and full of hospitality of local people. We went to part of Pennsylvania, and Pougkeepsie, New York. We spent a day in New York and another day to watch the games played by the Pitfield Mets and the N.J. Cards at Shea Stadium. The Minor League game followed immediately by the Major League game between New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. What a treat to be able to watch fun and exciting games eventhough both of the Cardinals lost. We both are now back at home and at work at our Jobs (with $$$$). I am also back here at Boomers Web site (job without $$$$) and busily adding many new links and articles. Check them out! Also in the work is a monthly newsletter that many of you have asked for. By September we should be sending out the FIRST issue. We have many qualified editorial members on board for this venture. Do not forget to sign up for it. Hope your summer vacation is as fun and exciting as ours. Cheers and Happy Dreams, Jieranai T. Maier, Executive Director, And Boomers Web Site Staff
IT'S SUMMERTIME!
June, 1997. Hello Friends: It's Summertime and the sun is shining... There's beach on the destination... Our family had been very involved with our youngest son's College Baseball season. Yes, we are experiencing the Empty Nest syndrome but his college baseball games gave us good excuse to follow his team around and be with him and sometimes his older brother. Well so the house is not quiet clean and laundries piled up on the weekends but, we are having fun! Are you all having fun? It's summertime and the living is easy, so go out and have fun! Cheers and Happy Summertime, Jeri Maier, BS. USF, MSSM, CND. Executive Director, and Boomers Web Site Staff
IT'S SPRING TIME!
April, 1997. Hi There: I totally missed out on communication in March but we have good news. Our Domain name have been set up on the backup server and our alternative web site will be up in a few weeks. We will feature Permanent FORUM for BABY BOOMERS. Database and Search Engine for Reunions and Lost Friends, etc. Our homepage at AOL and PRODIGY will remain but we will be able to link to a server that will be able for expansion of services. It will still be FREE to all our friends! Cheers and happy spring, Jieranai T. Maier, Editor In Chief and Boomers Web Site Staff
17 Feburary, 1997 Dear friends: It has been a month since I wrote the last letter on this page. I could not believe how much time passed and that how much time I spent to update this site. Still, the database and Chat Areas are not up as of today! It is quiet disappointing. My apology since it is one of those things having to do with Systems design and development. Good help are hard to come by especially when you can't afford to pay too much for one to begin with. On a happier note, the guestbook is now working and stablizing, so it is up and running. Please sign it if you are our new friends. I promise that we are working hard to get the site upgrade and improve, so please bookmark it and come back again soon. Feel free to send any comments and suggestions via email to me. Hope that you all had a nice Valentine's Day. LOVE to ALL! Sincerely, Jeri Maier and Boomers International Web Site Team
January 18, 1997. Hello friends: How are you? I finally have time to play around with being creative on the Net after spending so much time to get this site going. If you are frequent visitor, you will notice changes on our pages all the time. Evolutions! IMPROVEMENT! etc.. Within the last six months I conducted research, performed the task of data gathering, verified correctness and, finally created the pages. Over the time, I added in new links, created our own graphics, guestbook etc.. The next stage for our site is to try to reorganize and add in few features that I had in mind for a long time. Please be patience and comeback and visit us for the database and search engine plus some surprises. I also apologize if AOL server and network are busy and it is slow for loading the pages. Surprisingly (but not really), Microsoft Web Browser is twice as fast in loading the pages as Netscape. Also not surprise, to log on through Prodigy to surf is now much faster than America Online! Feel free to send any comments and suggestions via our email to me or sign our Guest Book. LOVE to ALL! Sincerely, Jeri Maier and Boomers International Web Site TeamJanuary 8, 1997. Hi there friends: We wish you Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year! Our family enjoyed very nice holidays and spent quality time together. We hope that you also had wonderful holidays. Boomers International is looking forward to our growing circle of friends. We are in the process of expanding and will be adding many features in the coming year. Do not forget to bookmark our site and keep coming back to visit us often. I think of myself as a Systems Thinker so I would like to to feature columns articles about our Social Systems and their implications to our life. They will be added to our Weekly Articles. Be sure to check in sometimes. Some of the features that we will offer are the database for registration and the database search engine for long lost old friends and love ones from the past! Please feel free to send any comments and suggestions via our email to me until Pergatory gets our Guest Book up and going again. LOVE to ALL! Sincerely, Jeri Maier and Boomers International Web Site TeamJeri Maier, BS., MSSM.
