David Block

 
David (Dave) Block was born March 9, 1947, in Austin, Minnisota.  
He was the average male; husband, father and businessman until he
hit MIDDLE-AGE.  He was suddenly and severely stricken down by MMS
(Male Menopausal Syndromes) in the prime of life.

Dave stepped on the MMS roller coaster in 1987 and has been in the
clutches of middle-age since.  It all started when he quit his job 
to pursue a more meaningful career as a Ski Instructor.  He began
to wear red high-top sneakers - EVERYDAY.  He suddenly realized it
wasn't necessary to act responsibly all the time, so he didn't.
He explained all this and much more with one word....BECAUSE!
His family, friends and doctor offered a different conclusion....
WEIRED!

Dave Block's work experience has progressed (or regressed) from an 
organized Cost Accountant with Hormel Co., to a responsible JC Penney
Merchandise Manager to a shaky Entrepreneur at large, and finally
to a totally irresponsible Ski Instructor and Author with chronic
writers block (notice last name is also Block).  With his spouse
and dependents as enableers and co-sufferers. he turned his and their
lives upside down.

Dave has a lovely (and very understanding) wife, Pat.  Dave and
Pat have two wonderful sons, Lance and Dane (WARNING: Sons are sure
to be carriers of dormant MMS genes).  Pat deserves the congressional
medal of honor for marital service above and beyond the call of
duty.
